Crăpătura Zorilor
Crăpătura Zorilor is an impressive mining site, located on Mine Hill, on the left slope of the Borcutului Valley and it is believed to be from the 16th century. This surface mining work takes the form of a canyon, with an average width of about 4 meters. The northern wall has galleries, while the southern wall intersects with a gallery from the Baia Sprie Mine system. Crăpătura Zorilor has a spectacular morphology, as the old galleries were mined manually, presenting themselves either superimposed or suspended. Due to its uniqueness, it has become one of the most interesting geological and mining tourist attractions.
